Specialist, Arctic oil and gas
Based in Ottawa, Mark has been with WWF since March 2017 as the Arctic Oil and Gas Specialist, focused on modernizing and improving the regulations and legislation governing Canada’s offshore oil and gas industry.
Mark has past experience in the NGO sector, private industry and the Canadian federal government on a variety of issues including climate change, conservation and Aboriginal consultation.
His academic background is in economics and he teaches in the environmental studies program at Algonquin College in Ottawa.
In a rapidly warming world, the work of WWF in the Arctic is crucial to ensuring some of the most beautiful and fragile regions on the planet are protected.
